I always thought that there were 3 teams that would have every right to claim the title "Best Football Team Ever" and with that said the 2012 Pink Panther Powder Puff team may now join that legendary group. Move over 1985 Chicago Bears, step back 2003 New England Patriots, these Pink Panthers are scary good! On Friday, November 18th, the Juniors and Seniors of the Pink Panthers faced the awesome firepower of the Freshman and Sophomore class in the Elizabethtown High School Powder Puff championship and the "Pinks" toughed out a 20 - 8 win on the frozen tundra of Doug Smith Stadium.

 

What struck me about this team aside from their sheer "AWESOMENESS" was the fact that they were soooo physically scary ( see picture below).  Even after the game was over and the lights of the stadium dimmed, I left the field looking around my car, afraid, afraid that one of these Panthers may be looking to shred me much as they did the opposition on the field. I still have nightmares two weeks later.

 

Let's not take anything away from the Freshmen and Sophomores as they have every right to make a claim of "one of the best" but let's face it, the Pink Panthers would make Mean Joe Green shake in his cleats and cry for his mommy.
